DRV8814: Minimum Duty Cycle

Hi team,

A customer is testing DRV8814. For 100kHz PWM, when he changed duty from 100% to 99.5%, the output did not change.

Could you please tell me the minimum duty cycle of this device? or how long will be needed for response?

    Hi Zeming,

    The minimum pulse time will be determined by the dead time plus the rise or fall times. the dead time is not specified in the datasheet but the rise and fall time is specified to 50ns minimum. 99.5% of 100kHz will be 50ns (OFF time). IF you include the dead time, the minimum pulse will be in the range of 100s of ns.
