I have a question from customer about open detection in DRV8889-Q1:
Please tell me about the specifications of OPEN detection of this IC.
When output is OFF in full-step mode (when DIS _ OUT bit of SPI communication data CTRL2 is "1"), OPEN detection flag becomes "1" (OL _ A bit and OL _ B bit of DIAG2 and OL bit of FAULT).
I understand that this is detected by the OPEN detection specification of DRV8889A-Q1.
However, the OPEN detection flag did not become "1" even in the output OFF state when the output was turned OFF by the protection operation at the time of overcurrent detection. (Check in Actual Operation)
Is there a detection specification that does not detect OPEN when the output is OFF by the protection operation?
