DRV2511-Q1: Socket selection

Part Number: DRV2511-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2510-Q1, , DRV2605L-Q1, DRV2624, DRV2625, DRV2604, DRV2605

Hi team,

My customer are selecting haptics in display project for touch vibration, which parameters should we notice? Which is the hero devices? Thanks!

  • Hi Jiawei,

Is the customer looking for Haptic driver ICs or recommendations of haptic acctuators.

does the customer need Q1 certification? if so then DRV2511-Q1, DRV2510-Q1 and DRV2605L-Q1 are the options

If rated voltages of less that ~3 Vrms are needed the DRV2605L-Q1 is a good option as this device has auto resonance tracking which will improve vibration and efficiancy. (Also the same can be said for DRV2605, DRV2604, DRV2625, and DRV2624 if Q1 is not needed)

We have one boosted haptic driver (non-Q1) with thermal protection and factory line F0 Calibration. this part will allow up to ~10Vpeak and has a digital I2S input so no DAC is needed.

Otherwise DRV2510/11-Q1 are good choices for high power applications like in automotive(Where Haptic effects need to be felt over road vibration such as in steering wheel)

    Regards,
