DRV8303: Problem with Current Sense

Part Number: DRV8303

We use a DRV8303 in one of our products. Sometimes there is an issue with current sensing.

Without any motor attached to our board an no motor voltage (PVDD) connected, the current sense output (SO1 and SO2) is not correct.

I have checked that SN1 and SP1 as well as SN2 and SP2 are at exactly 0 V, which is correct since there is no current flowing through the shunt resistor. Reference input REF is at exactly 3.0 V. I expect SO1 and SO2 to be at 1.5 V. However, one is at 0.2 V while the other is at 0.9 V.

Do you have an explanation what might be the most likely reason for this error. The board design is not new. It has been tested thoroughly and is unchanged for some time now. The problem is present with some boards of one production charge while others are unaffected.
