Direct Sub DRV8302DCAR

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV832X

This part is called out on our BOM for one of our biggest designs and we are having trouble locating the TI DRV8302DCAR, and I was hoping you might be able to provide a direct substitute for it as well as the TLV62085RLTT.  Thank you, Lori McLain- Buyer- Action Target.

  • Hi Lori,

Thanks for posting your question to the e2e motor drivers forum.

For the DRV8302DCAR question, someone from our team will help provide a part recommendation.

    • any specific system-level requirements that may help in our analysis?

For the TLV62085RLTT part, you may need to post that into a separate e2e post so that the appropriate TI group can support accordingly.

    Best Regards,
    Andrew

  • Hey Lori,

In order to suggest some other alternatives, I would like to ask what is the operational voltage that you require?

Are there any few features you are looking for? Or any protection features needed?

Just as an initial suggestion I would suggest looking into DRV832x. It also has a hardware variant.

    https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/drv8323.pdf

    Operational voltage range: 6 - 60 V

    PWM: 6x,3x, 1x and independent

CSA: can have 0 or 3 CSA

Buck: Yes (depending on the variant)

I would also suggest checking out our BLDC selection guide for more information.
