Dear Sir,

I need to provide an analysis of the Motor Controllers performance difference, I would like to ask DRV8306 & MC33035DW which key point of the driving components can know the difference in driving efficiency, please help teach me where the key point will affect the difference in driving efficiency? , thank you.

    Both drivers use 120 degree sensored trapezoidal switching pattern so the motor commutation efficiency should be comparable.

     

    However, the overall driving efficiency should be superior on the DRV8306 because our solution integrates a charge pump architecture and can therefore be used to drive N-channel high-side MOSFETs directly. This is better than dealing with the power losses of a high-side PNP BJT or a P-channel MOSFET.
