DRV8353: SEN_OCP operation with INLx = Low

Part Number: DRV8353

We are using DRV8353 SPI part to implement independent high side drivers with VDS_OCP, but also wanting to use the SOx current sense output and the SEN_OCP for other stuff.     OCP_MODE = 10b so we should get an nFAULT active for either a VDS_OCP on the high side driver, or during a SEN_OCP for the other circuit.    We have verified the SOx current sense output works with a current shunt on SPx, SNx of that specific gate driver (current shunt is on GND of an unrelated external low side driver).    But, it seems the SEN_OCP is not being activated even though we have verified we are above SEN_LVL (0.25V).   We do have INLx tied LOW as directed by the datasheet to disable low side VDS_OCP.

That leads us to why the SEN_OCP is not tripping ??   does the SEN_OCP need INLx to be HIGH for it to work ??   Or, is there another reason ??

datasheet clearly states in 8.3.6.4   - --->    If at any time, the voltage on the SP input of the current-sense amplifier exceeds the VSEN_OCP threshold for longer than the tOCP_DEG deglitch time, a SEN_OCP event is recognized and action is done according to the OCP_MODE.
