Hi Jacob,

According to the datasheet, I can calculate the working current power dissipation as below, but I still don't know how to evaluate the stall current power dissipation. RθJA is still 30.9?

When the stall current is 0.5A, Pstall=13.5V*0.5A=6.75w, temp rise=6.75*RθJA=208.6? It seems incorrect, could you please help give me the formula of Pstall and related temp rise?

Hi Sherry,

Let me support this question. For power calculation, please refer datasheet as Jacob pointed out. Your 13.5V *0.5A = 6.75W is not connect.

Please calculate with P= Iout * Iout * Rdson. This one is first item to calculate. After this, need to add switching loss etc.
