Hello Team, question from customer:
Which root-cause could set all bits of IC_STAT to '1' ?
They can see this event during a short GND floating.
Is there any other root-cause?
Many Thanks
Josef

Hey Josef,
Our automotive driver expert is out today and will get back to you within 1 business day, thanks!
Just to clarify - do you mean this happens when the GND connection is broken and the GND for the board is just left floating?
Regards,
Jacob
Hi Josef,
Thank you for your question.
I assume IC_STAT=1 means 1b. So IC_STAT =1b (0000,0001) means NPOR=1
This situation could happens by CLR_FLT command. I guess customer send CLR_FLT command before detecting NPOR=1.

Hi Josef,
Hi Josef,
It is difficult to believe all fault flags are 1. Sometimes we see all 1 or 0 during SPI communication error- I am not talking about DRV8908-Q1, but more generic GUI, MCU, evaluation tool communication error.
You commented "GND floating", so something wired situation is happening on SPI related I guess.
