DRV8412-C2-KIT / DRV8412GUIv5.exe reports "The application failed to initialize properly......."

I am trying to bring up the DRV8412-C2-KIT.  I have printed and followed all steps in the DRV8412 Digital Motor Control Kit Quick Start Guide v2.0.   The board has been configured for stepper motor control.  I am on page 4 at step 2.  The GUI file I have on the thumb drive is called DRV8412GUIv5.exe.  When I double click on it, Windows XP Pro reports "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application.".  Has anyone else had this problem?

    John,

    I have not seen this before, but it is possible that the file has somehow been corrupted on your USB stick.  

    You can download the latest files using contolSUITE.  You have to install the software via the link below:

    After installation, you can navigate to the DRV8412-C2-Kit by clicking the "Kits" button in the top left.  You will need to flash the controlCARD with the latest ".out" file.  There are instructions on how to do this in the "Documentation" section under the DRV8412-C2-Kit.  To get the new .out file, look in the "Folders" section and open the v1.1 kit folder.  In there, you will find a GUI folder that contains a file called "DRV8412GUIv6.out".  You will also find the latest GUI called "DRV8412GUIv6.exe".  Once you have reflashed the C2000 controlCARD, you will need to run this new version 6 GUI.
