DRV201: No ACK

Part Number: DRV201

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

The protocols for the device address IIC are corresponding. However, 201 has no ACK, and it is the same behavior when a chip is replaced. Does the DRV201 require initialization?

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry

  • Cherry,

It looks like the proper start condition is received per Figure 12 in the datasheet, but I am not sure if the address is correct.  Should be three "0" bits and than a "1".  Data is latched on the rising edge of SCL signal.  From what I can see, it looks like SDA maybe transitioning to a high on the 3rd bit.  This might be the problem.

In the transaction above, are they trying to do a READ or a WRITE?

    Regards,

    Ryan

  • Cherry,

Also, can you send schematic of the board?  What is the pull-up resistor for SCL/SDA lines?

    Regards,

    Ryan
