Hi, there.

Could TI person share these information for us?

What are the pros/cons about the integrated current amp in DRV8353F conpared with independent current sensors?

Could you share the specs such as CMRR, thermal behavior, Gain error, etc. of DRV8353F?

What could be expected to use the integrated current amp compared with independent CSA chip or not to be ?

What should be care for when we use the integrated current amp?

I tried to check the specs of the integrated current amp in DRV8353F, but I could not find the detailed specs on the spec seet.

I know theae are the benefits for eliminating the foot print of the PCB.

Hey Takashi-san,

The main benefits are the space saving and cost savings on the board. With external CSA you will have to implements them on your board externally.

The above pictures cover the CSA specs within our DRV8353 IC.

However, where can we find the specs such as CMRR, thermal behavior, Gain error, etc. of DRV8353F?

It seems that these specs are not listed in the teble which you put on the message.

On the other hand, DRV8301 has the specs the above. Why not DRV8353F share the info for us?

Hey Takashi-san,

For DRV8353 the table I provided contains the CSA information specified by our design team for this driver.

The values listed were tested over -40C to 125C. We show the gain min, max and typical value.

Hey Takashi-san,

The CMRR has not been characterized by our team so we are unable to provide that information.

If you decide to use external CSA then DRV8350 might work for your application.

Could you teach me why TI has not characterize CMRR of DRV8353F?

We are planning to use DRV8353F for our application to make our motor driver tiny.

So I won't use DRV8350.

Hey Takashi-san,

Design team at the time of this device's release did not characterize this information. They typically test and validate the major parameters of concern in motor application such as gain and input offset error.
