DRV8329: How to understand the current of nsleep pin?

Part Number: DRV8329

Hi expert,

I can see in datasheet there is " input current of nSleep", how to understand it?

  1.  we should consider this current limitation when select pull up resistor. We should add a large resistor to limit the current less than 10uA( just like the right picture)
  2. This current means how much current goes into device: if pin voltage is 5V, then there is 6uA goes into device. we don't need to limit the current through pull up resistor.

Which understanding is correct?

If the fist understanding is correct, I have another question:

  • The nsleep pin voltage cannot more than 8V=800kΩ x 10uA;  more than 8V will bring too large current.  So I don't know in which situation the pin voltage can be 65V( first line of chart)

Thank you

Eason
