ULC1001-DRV290XEVM: Piezo transducer sourcing

Hi Colin, yes, that transducer is used in our initial flat lens cover design. In the mySecure Resources folder, you will find the full mechanical design guide for the 20mm aperture lens cover design. Be sure to specify the tolerances and material type as suggested in the design guide. We use APC International as our source. We have also worked with CeramTec.

Hi Ferran, we will have the flat lens evaluation kits stocked in the next few weeks and available for purchase through TI's mySecure Resources page.

If you wanted to purchase the piezo in the flat lens system, you can reference the mechanical design guides on mySecure. The piezo dimensions and type are listed in the design guide. We are using a standardized piezo material - but as i mentioned above, our source has been APC.

Yes, we will be providing demonstration kits that have prototype Lens Cover Systems. These will provide a good starting point for seeing the technology in action. As a company of electrical engineers, we don't have the mechanical experience to make these into final products. Our intention is to show what is possible and work with our customers to answer any questions regarding the designs. 

Ultimately, you will need to own the mechanical design. We are continuing to investigate new mechanical structures as this technology is in its infancy. As we test new designs, we will make new design guides and possibly change our EVM kit offerings.

Hi Kelly We are trying to develop the Cleaning system and for that we need piezo transducer. Could you please share the link from where I can get the 22mm OD, 20mm ID, 10mm tall piezo.

Hi Everyone, I answered this question in my original post. If you review the material on Secure Resources, you will find the specifications for our Lens Cover System. The main suppliers we have used are APC International and Ceramtec. Ultimately, the piezo being used a made of a standard material, which is described in the document. This is not a special peizo material - it is a standard in the piezo community. You can source from any vendor as long as they can make the stanard material.

Once access is granted:

1. Go to TI.com.
2. Sign in in the top right corner.
3. Click the small down arrow next to your name (also top right of webpage).
   1. Now you will find the link to Secure Resources.
4. From here, click on that link "Secure Resources" and go to the "ULC-DESIGN" folder.
5. You will find the mechanical design guides in the "ULC Mechanical Design Guides" section.
