Hi Expert,

customer are looking for gate driver solution to drive BLDC, this is drone propeller ESC design.

but they are prefer to use integrate 3 channel of driver into one device, do you have recommend solution for customer?

and could you share your experience about how to use driver to drive BLDC in general design?

Before I can make a recommendation, could you provide the following so that I am better able to understand their needs:

Power, voltage, and current requirements
Whether they want a sensored or sensorless solution
- Do they plan on using trapezoidal, sinusoidal, or FOC commutation
What kind of interface are they looking for SPI, Hardware, etc.

please see as below from customer feedback.

Power, voltage, and current requirements

Motor spec:

Voltage:6S Lipo

Non-loading current: 1.2A

Max-current:37.91A

Max Watt: 907.6W

Whether you want a sensored or sensorless solution

Sensorless

Do they plan on using trapezoidal, sinusoidal, or FOC commutation

PWM

What kind of interface are they looking for SPI, Hardware, etc.

CAN BUS or SPI, or else

Hi Mark,

The following TIPL Training videos do a great job of explaining how BLDC motor drivers work and how to drive one:

The DRV8353F should be sufficient for their needs, though if they are not specifically implementing functional safety, the DRV8353 should be fine. If the customer is interested in evaluating this device, we do have the DRV8353Rx-EVMs.
