Hello,

I am using DRV8833 for a lens controlling application, is it possible to use the same H bridge driver using a regular digital signal instead pf PWM? And if not how can we use all the 4 inputs using a common input for a stepper motor controlled lens?

Can you elaborate more? what type of digital signal do you wish to use?

I wish to use a standard GPIO signal for controlling my stepper motors.

Hi Aishwarya,

Understood. Unfortunately that is not possible. One solution is to use interrupts in your code and manually toggle the GPIOs to create the PWM waveform rather than using a dedicated timer channel.

Another solution is to use a STEP/dir interface motor driver such as the DRV8424.
