Hi team,
The customer would like to know how to drive a polarizing motor without PWM? Thanks.
Best Regards,
Cherry

Hi,
Our haptics expert is out of office so please be patient as responses are delayed.
Thanks,
Hi Cherry, could you please elaborate on the question here? What is the goal?
Section 7.4 of the datasheet: "DRV8601 is an analog input with differential output."
Hi Kelly,
Thanks for your support.
could you please elaborate on the question here? What is the goal?
Customer's master GPIO port does not have PWM output feature, how to design the circuit in this usecase?
Thanks and regards,
Cherry
If you want to drive using a GPIO, then you have to use another haptic device with a trigger. Like DRV2604/DRV2624, which store waveforms internally and then can be played back with a trigger (supports both ERM and LRA). The DRV8601 is an analog input amplifier.
Hi Kelly,
There's no IIC port, only one common IO port with no PWM capability.
Thanks and regards,
Cherry
Cherry, did you look at the datasheet? There are full descriptions on how to drive this device with a PWM input.
Your original question is saying "without PWM". Now you want to use PWM? I don't understand.
Hi Kelly,
The case here is now the IO ports do not have PWM capability, how to drive the polarizing motor on the IO ports without PWM?
Thanks and regards,
Cherry
