What does this gain factor mean? Is it better to choose a larger one or a smaller one?

For my second question, is the step current value of each bit the same when I adjust the PDR? Is it related to the gain factor above?

Hi,

Thank you for your question. PDR is trying to find best IPRE_CHR current level to meet target tDON. This is feedback loop system to find best IPRE_CHG current. Then this gain factor is decide how much increase IPRE_CHR in one cycle. Normally lower gain is better to set. Lower gain could makes system loop stable.

Does the current change according to the changes of the gear of Idrvn when IPRE_CHR is adjusted?

IRE_CHR and IDRVx are independent settings. Please refer datasheet 8.3.4.4
