DRV8432EVM: DRV8432DKD not showing as product

We do not see the DRV8432DKD showing up as a product on the TI site any longer. Can we have a status update on this part?

Is there a drop in solution for another part number to replace this with?

Is there a recommended upgraded part to use even if not drop in compatible?

Hi Andrew,

This part has been pulled from the web as it is not a part recommended for new designs. The DRV8462 (thermal pad on the bottom of IC) and DRV8461 (thermal pad on top of IC) can be used as a replacement depending on the current requirements.

So looks like TI is jumping the gun here.

They have the DDV package of the DRV8462 as an equivalent or better ratings to the DRV8432DKD.

But the DDV package is only mentioned in the data sheet, but is not actually an orderable part at this time.

When should we expect the DDV package of the DRV8462 to become a legitimate part?

The DDV DRV8462 will be released in the middle of this year.

FYI, we are looking at DRV8962DDVR as replacement in our application. It is actually much closer to the functionality of the DRV8432 than the suggested DRV8462.
