DRV2901: Ultrasonic clean in a particular application

Hi Valter, 

I can help answer the question. In our application, the ultrasonic waves propagate within the lens cover, which induces physical vibrations (e.g., displacements).The acceleration  from the vibration is high enough (Mm/s2 level) to expel the contaminant.  Do you want to vibrate the 60cm radius roller? I am not very familiar about your application and not sure if your material can vibrate. Also, currently we can support a lens design for a diameter of as large as 40mm. For much bigger designs, we are investigating this but do not have an available solution right now.

Hello friends,
I want to provide more details about application:
the roller is about radius 60cm and long from 50cm to 150cm. The coil could be move long the axis of roller, or could be arrange more then one coil. Is important to direct the waves to the roller surface, and more difficult, I think, obtain an enough power to reach the result, cleaning. Because the we haven't water or light dust, but oil or ink, may be more adesive?

Thanks for the info. In the ULC technology, the vibration is within the lens, so actually there is no wave can be directed to the roller surface. If you want to clean the roller surface you have to vibrate the roller, which can be very tough considering its large size. Our lens cover is mainly for cameras, which has a much smaller diameter of 10-40mm. 

Thank you Hailong for exaustive expanation. If I understand well the lens is not fixed, but it is mounted in a flexible structure? So the water and other are ejected by lens movement? When I saw the demo video I thought that the wave had been directed to the lens sourface. That's why I thought could been applied to my system.

Yes, the lens is not fixed. On top of the lens, it is sealed by O-ring. On the bottom, a small portion of the lens is glued to the piezo transducer.
