Hi,
I'm evaluating the DRV8833C for use with our stepper motors. Section 8.2.21 of the spec sheet states:
The DRV8833C can support full- and half-stepping modes using the PWM interface
Does this mean that the DRV8833C does not support 1/8 (n = 8) and other microstepping levels?
Thanks!
Matt
Matt,

Correct. The DRV8833C does not have an integrated step indexer to support higher stepping rates. If you require higher stepping rates, I recommend the DR8411A which has a dedicated VREF pin to adjust the motor current. A DAC can be connected to VREF with a sinusoidal output to generate the desired microstepping rate.
