DRV10987EVM: Software interface font exception

Part Number: DRV10987EVM

Hi team,

1) DRV10987EVM Software Interface Font Display is incomplete, what could be the possible cause? Windows 11 and Windows 7, 64-bit systems are used.

2) Software interface to set up the analogue speed to control motor, the motor will turn for a few seconds and then stop, and turn and stop again (repeated stalling). Also, the speed is low and the analogue resistor speed is unchanged. Is it a software issue?

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry

  • Hi Cherry,

The GUI screenshot that you shared is just an interface to send I2C commands to the device on the EVM. I see that the GUI is in Demo mode and some of the parameters are programmed as zero. Device registers have to be tuned to spin the  ktor in closed loop. Please refer to the User's guide and tuning guide for the setup and tuning instructions.

  • Hi Vishnu,

Thanks for your support and Peter is from Arrow, you could discuss this issue directly.

    Hi Peter,

Please help re-describe your question in English so that the expert could better understand.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Cherry

  • Hi Peter,

I see that the software current limit is set too low. For now, please disable it. Can you check the lock code in "Display" tab and check what fault is getting triggered? Can you also share the phase current waveform? What is the end equipment that you are working on? Supply voltage is read back only when the device is spinning the motor.

    Regards,

    Vishnu
