Hello,

I am trying to understand if it is possible to use

Three Phase BLDC Motor Kit with DRV8312

in order to define speed profile and maybe placement profile for motor testing.

I have brushless motor with Halls, which works with 24000rmp speed. I would like to make evaluation tests for the motor and i am looking for proper driver solution

that will give me a flexibility of defining different speed profiles (and cycles).

Is anyone ever used this kit for such kind of things? Is there any application notes for this issues?

The only app. i found were related to software. I am looking for something that talks also about the hardware of this KIT.

Any help would be great

All of the documentation for the DRV8312-C2-Kit is available through ControlSUITE. You can download/install the software at the link below:

http://focus.ti.com/mcu/docs/mcusplash.tsp?contentId=114370

You will find schematics and guides for the hardware as well as example code to get started with. The kit is able to do what you are asking for.

Hello Ryan,

i actually downloaded the documentation from ControlSUITE even before i wrote my question.

The only documentation i saw there was regarding the software, maybe i am missing something.

I would like to be sure: i want to be able to define speed and position profile for my brushless motor (for example - move right until .... then stop, then move left until....)

Will i be able to do it with this KIT?

Yulya,

Yes, there is plenty of documentation there that you must be missing. Please see the screen shot below. There is an encoder interface on the board that would allow

you to connect an external encoder to the shaft of the included motor and realize accurate position control. Speed control is available through the included software.
