MCT8329A: configuration of Forward-Reverse control profiles

Part Number: MCT8329A

Dear sir,

If possible, could you support to configure the values of the relevant registers as an example for "Forward-Reverse control profiles" applicaton base on  MCT8329A-EVM board?

         Thanks a lot!

BR

Joe

  • Hi Joe,

Thanks for your question on the Motor Drives E2E Forum.

I will aim to provide an answer on this by the end of the week!

  • Hi Joe,

Do you mean that you want a recommended registers values configuration for each of the input control signal profiles (linear, step, forward-reverse) in the GUI?

Or are you wondering how to configure each of the input control signal profiles?

In either case please review section "7.3.7.5.3 Forward-Reverse Profiles" of the datasheet to find your answer.

    Best,

    Robert

  • Hi Joe,

Please let us know if you require further assistance on this debug.

If not, please help mark thread as resolved. Thanks

  • Hi Andrew,

We set the registers for forward-reverse application, but the results were not very successful. Could you help to set the registers as an example for forward-reverse application?

               Thanks!

  • Hi Joe,

We do not have recommended register configuration for the forward-reverse control profile. It is typically up to customers to set the x and y points for the control profiles.

The only mandatory condition is that the values along the x axis should be in increasing order. For example dutyoff1 <= dutyon1 <= duty clamp1 <= dutya..... etc.

Typically direction reversal is set at 50% but not mandatory. Customer should configure the registers specifically to their application.

    Best,

    Robert
