DRV8350F: VM and VGLS

Part Number: DRV8350F

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

According to the manual, the operating supply VM voltage of the gate driver is displayed in the range of 9-80V, on page 17: The low-side gate drive supply voltage is generated using a linear regulator of the VM supply, which regulates the VGLS output to 14.5V. The VGLS supply is further regulated to 11 V on the GLX low-side gate driver output. The linear regulator powered by VM is 14.5 V.

Is it affected if VM=12V? Is VGLS still equal to 14.5 V? Are there any disadvantages of VM=12V compared to VM=15V?

Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry
