DRV10963AEVM: Using FR jumper to switch directions

When reading through the DRV10963AEVM User's Manual, it says to keep J2 and J3 open on the daughterboard. I am trying to change directions of the motor dynamically, and would like to utilize J2 on the daughterboard. Will this affect the I2C connection or anything else? What should the switches and jumper configurations be in order to use the FR pin?

    Hi Kathryn,

    FR pin in DRV10963EVM is multiplexed with SDA. Connecting the J2 jumper in daughter board will impact I2C communication when you are in test mode to read/program OTP. However, if you are not in test mode or if you have an IC with pre-programmed OTP where you don't need the I2C communication, you can use the FR pin to change the direction dynamically.
