DRV8714-Q1: Open load detection in half bridge configuration

Hi team,

My customer plan to use DRV8714-Q1 in half bridge mode as below architecture. HSD stands for high side switch. May I know how to achieve open load detection for below architecture?

I found in below post a very similar topic but is in H bridge mode

Hi Scarlett,

Thank you for your question. During HSD is ON, DRV can distinguish between OPEN or not. However during HSD is OFF, there is no way DRV can distinguish between OPEN and normal.

During HSD is ON, we can use Page 3 and 4 scenarios. Left side DRV can be replaced by HSD with ON.0714.DRV87xx-Q1_Offline_OL_SC.pdf
