Hi Team,
We use MD041E1, but cannot connect the 0.1.0 GUI software to the EVM.
We want to use 1.0.0 GUI to have a try and where to download the 1.0.0 GUI software?
Thanks for your feedback.

Hi Team,
1.0.1 is the version we use. There are two problems: 1. After using the silent mode, the silent mode cannot be disabled to return to the ordinary mode, and the motor in the disabled silent mode is powered off; 2. After the motor acceleration is switched from silent mode to ordinary attenuation mode, the motor speed can not get up, generally to more than 300 revolutions per minute will be stuck. You don't have this problem by using the normal attenuation mode directly.
Thanks for your feedback.
Hi Ryan,
Hope everything is good to you.
I would like to cycle back for this, do you have any update?
I have found the cause of the second problem. The reason is that the current I set is too low. When I set the current to the rated current of the motor, the motor can run. But now there are two new problems:
1. Under the premise that other working conditions remain unchanged, the torque of the motor in silent mode and the torque after switching from silent mode to intelligent ripple control mode are much smaller than that directly using intelligent ripple control mode. Is this normal?
2. When the motor is switched from silent mode to intelligent ripple control mode, when the speed is accelerating and decelerating at 1200rpm and 1300rpm, the motor has abnormal sound, and the phase current waveform of the motor has obvious distortion, which is very easy to get stuck. Is this normal?
Hi,
Thank you for your update. Please expect our response in next week.

Hi Zhipeng,
Sorry about the delayed response for your last post.
1. If the current amplitude changes to a lower full-scale value in Silent mode it means the tuning for this mode is incorrect. Observing the current waveform while in Silent mode modify the values of KP and KI. First start with KP increment it by 1 until the microstepping waveform looks smooth sine wave. Then fine tune by incrementing KI if needed. When the tuning parameters are correct the full-scale current amplitude in both Silent mode and Smart Tune Ripple Control mode will be identical.
2. We recommend to enable Auto microstepping with 1/256 RES AUTO mode prior to enabling Silent mode.
Let us know if further questions.
