DRV8847: Motor drive classification

Hi Dear,

From the DRV8847 manual, can it drive a stepper motor or drive two DC brush motors or DC brushless stand-alone machines?

But in the product category, why does DRV8847 belong to which category of stepper motor driver,as follows.

Hey Anna,

DRV8847 is a Dual H-bridge driver. It can be used to drive different types of loads, however the reason for classifying under stepper drivers was a marketing decision as this driver was targeting stepper driver applications.
