Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8312

Team,

Can I use an inverting gate drive part (ir2136) with the ControlSuit code for the PMSM Sensorless F28335?

If so, what are the “gatcha”s that I should be looking for.

Will

  • William,

I have no experience with the IR gate drive, but we have more integrated parts available from TI that include the gate drive+FETs.

Please see DRV8312 and the DRV8312-C2-Kit for a demonstration kit with F28035.

  • Thanks Ryan,

    Thanks for responding.

My application is a 100HP (75KW) motor.  On a 670VDC rail at as much as 160A of output from the inverter.

While I would love to drive my motor with an integrated part, I have yet to find one that fits my needs.

P.S.  This post was less about finding parts and more about making the parts that I found work
