DRV8845: Can Dynamic Decay Mode be used when driving BDCs?

Hello,

The DRV8845 datasheet states that there are 3 modes for controlling a DC motor, forward, reverse and coast but it also has dynamic decay mode for current control.

Can the dynamic decay mode be used when the DRV8845 is driving a BDC and if so how is that different than the coast function?

Dynamic decay is only used for stepper motor operation and not BDC.

For BDC operation there are typically 4 states: Forward, Reverse, Coast (fast decay) and Break (slow decay).

However, on the DRV8845 there are only three.
