DRV2605L-Q1: some questions

Part Number: DRV2605L-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2605L

Hi team,

Customer connect VDD to EN pins. When customer pull up SCL and SDA with 5V and VDD/EN don't have 5V input, customer found that there is around 5V at VDD/EN pin. Is that reasonable? If it is, what risk will DRV2605L meet?

Thanks!

  • Hi Jiawei,

Since the Enable Pin is tied to the I2C controller logic, it's possible that the voltage is appearing on the pins since the pins are floating. Obviously the device doesn't work with VDD not driven. If the customer finds no performance issues I would not be concerned. Take care that the Absolute Maximum of EN/SDA/SCL is (VDD + 0.3V).

    Best regards,
    Jeff McPherson
