DRV8705H-Q1EVM: DRV8705 can drive TPH2R608NH,L1Q MOSFETs

Hi Sir,

For our single phase inverter design we want to use DRV8705 gate driver IC with NPH2R608 NH (NMOSFET). Qg = 27nC. 

According to our calculations it seems that we may be able to meet the requirements. I did the calculations as the TI document suggest. If any of you can varify the calculations or give experimental feedback it will be very helpful to us.

Calculations:

Our target   —- TPH2R608NH

Qg = 72nC

Ivcp = 1.44mA

Idrivep_HI = 18nC/750nsec = 24mA    (1010b = 24 mA)

Idrivep_lo = 18nC/1000ns = 18mA (1001b = 20 mA)

Based on the calculations a value of 24mA was chosen for Idrivep;

Idriven_Hi = 18nC/250ns = 72mA (1111b = 62 mA)

Idriven_lo = 18nC/500ns = 36mA (1101b = 40 mA)

Based on the calculations a value of 62 mA was chosen for Idriven;
