DRV8711: What should we do on STEP and DIR pins when pure SPI control?

Hello Sir:

We want to make sure, if we are using SPI interface to control DRV8711.

What should we do on DIR and STEP pins?

Should I pull up or just floating?

Please kindly let us know your recommendations.

Hey Statham,

You can leave those pins unconnected. The DIR pin is completely ignored when the RDIR bit is set, and they both have internal pull-down resistors that will keep the STEP pin LOW.
