Hi, 

Does the MCT8329A have a mode that does not allow writing to EEPROM or RAM?

For example, in the following thread it is stated that when writing to EEPROM it must be in MOTOR_IDL.

What are all the conditions under which it is not possible to write to EEPROM and RAM? These are not supposed to be specified in the data sheet.

    Hi Conor,

    To be able to write to EEPROM the MCT8329A must have a PVDD voltage greater than V_PVDD_UV, an AVDD voltage greater than V_AVDD_POR, be experiencing a fault, not be in sleep mode, and be in the MOTOR_IDLE state (the state of the motor can be checked in register SYS_STATUS2).

    To be able to write to RAM if the MCT8329A must have a PVDD voltage greater than V_PVDD_UV, an AVDD voltage greater than V_AVDD_POR, and not be in sleep mode.
