DRV8305: DRV8305 overheating issue

My customer is using DRV8305 to make a motor drive, and now I have the following problems，please help to analyze these problems,thnaks.
1. When the MCU outputs PWM to DRV8305 and the motor is not connected, the chip temperature reaches 85°C, is this normal?
2. When the customer connects the motor, the drive PWM is 20Khz. DRV8305 will produce smoke, the chip is overheated and damaged? Please help to check the customer's schematic diagram and PCB.

3. The gs level of the high-side MOS tube should be GH-SH, the orange one below is why there is a step on its falling edge?

Hi Alon,

Just following up on the request for the PDF of the schematic if you are still seeking help.

And here are some additional questions:

1) Does nFAULT trigger at any point during this operation?

2) What is the IDRIVE setting set to when these issues occur?

3) The GS waveforms are odd, and if you could provide further waveforms of the drain and sources as well as the charge pump pins (CP1/2/L/H, VCPH, VCP_LSD) that would be helpful.

Customers are unable to provide schematic PDF files as they have confidentiality rules. The customer has checked some faults on the wiring is redesigning the PCB, I will give further feedback if testing is problematic, thanks.
