Hello,
Our client has hired us to develop a BLDC motor controller for a battery operated application. We are looking for assistance in choosing optimal components for this design and possible existing reference designs to speed up the design phase.
Description of the application:
We are powering a 1.5kW BLDC motor with 18 Vdc rated voltage. If possible, we are looking for a controller which is capable of driving the motor on its own, meaning that the only input it requires is the speed / direction command (control algorithm implemented by the controller IC).
A housekeeping MCU is planned which will overview the user interface and give the speed commands to the motor.
