XDS110 Debug probe

Hi.,

I am using XDS110 Debug probe from TI.  My Issue is some PCB;s the debug not detected, and some pcb is it will detected.I am not able to predict the issue.Kindly help me as soon as possible.

The first issue is above dialogbox.

This is the 2nd issue.

But this issue not came from some PCB.My  question is,this is debugger issue or PCB issue.Incase is this PCB issue how to i sort this issue.

Thanks in advance

  • Hi Tom,

Thank you for using our XDS110 Debug Probe and reaching out to us on the problem.

On your first issue, the notice tells us that your target board's power supply cannot be detected. On your second issue, the notice tells us that the target MCU does not give a correct response to the Debug probe. So on both cases the target boards may have HW problems.

You mentioned that on some PCBs the XDS110 is a well detected. Does that mean on these boards the XDS110 works all right on connecting the target board MCU and can perform code download and debug? If that is true, the Debug Probe and the target board may be no problem.

Then you can check with a multimeter on a board's debug port pins' resistance to Gnd and compare them to those on such a Good target board's. If there is no obvious difference, then connect it to the Debug Porbe for further check. Otherwise, check the reason for the difference first.

For more details on the XDS110 Debug probe usage, check its User's Guide here: XDS110 Debug Probe (ti.com.cn)

    Best regards,

    Yes I would agree.

Tom - Since the issue only occurs with some boards, this leads me to believe that it is a hardware issue with the impacted boards. What device are you working with that you wish to use with the XDS110?

    Thanks

  • Thanks

I will check my hardware PCB Board.

    Its resolved my issue.Thankyou
