DRV8243-Q1: Special working conditions for DRVOFF pin

Part Number: DRV8243-Q1

There is a special working condition:

When DRV8243 is in sleep state, MCU output a square wave of 400kHz to DRVOFF pin, what is the effect to DRV8243? Is there any damage to the performance of the device?

Thank you.

  • Hi Daniel,

It is not recommended to exceed the recommended operating frequency of 25kHz for the input signals. The DRVOFF pin is a logic pin from 0-5.5V and the high frequency signal would likely cause ringing in the system and is not recommended for the driver. Stresses beyond rated values may cause damage to the device.

    Best,

    David
