DRV10987: Overcurrent issue

Hi all,

We designed our custom DRV10987 board and we tryna start the motor but motor is dont working cause of given overcurrent issue, no short circuit between phases.. What is the primary problem?

How much is the motor resistance? Can you share the PCB schematic?

Hi,

PCB's motor driver part is below

Motor features:

Motor P/N is: EMAX BL2826

Motor phase to phase resistance : 0.3 Ohm

Motor KV: 800KV

Motor Pole Count: 14

Hi Ceyhun,

Schematic looks good. I think the current limit gets triggered due to low motor resistance. Can you program higher motor resistance (~0.8 ohms) and try again ? Also, can you share the register values ?

Hello Vishnu,

We solved it.

it happened because of motor. We edited motor paramaters, aspecially BEMF value and it worked.
