DRV8718-Q1: CSA output current capability

Hi team,

What is the output capability of internal CSA?

From datasheet, I see max current is within 0 and 5mA. however, if calculating the current based on the output slew rate, it should be 150uA(60pF x 2.5V/us). which makes me confused, Could you help to check?

Hi,

Thank you for your question. Let me try to explain this way. These are different items for CSA.

0-5mA is for "Recommended Operating Conditions". It means CSA is recommended to be used up to 5mA(external) load. And it intended as DC load.

2.5V/us is SPEC/CSA's performance of output driving. How fast the CSA can drive output slew rate. It is 2.5V/us under 60pF output load capacitor.
