Vector control of ac induction motor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

I am working on a regenerative braking for my ac induction motor that is controlled using vector control, and the regenerated power will be connected to the grid.

I also want to use vector control to make regeneration algorithm, the question is, if the current on the grid side was highly distorted can i without the using of low pass filter sense the current and make the transformation and control the bridge in a normal manner or it will make problems ?

The application is implemented on TMS320LF2406APZA .

Thank you

  • Hisham,

Is it likely that you will want to do PFC to the grid front end and likely some DC bus compensation with your motor algorithm.  There are some examples in controlSUITE throught PFC kit and the HVMTRPFCKIT

There is also an update coming to this kit for improved PFC performance.  I suggest you ask these questions on the C2000 forum.

    Hi Hisham

Can you please help me how you have managed to do regeneration using vector control,i am exploring how synchronous rectification can be done with svgen module.
