The motor driver chip DRV8824 is set to 1/2 phase, and the software input STEP is fixed to 12PPS. However, the number of steps is inconsistent at the output of DRV 8824 (The actual number of steps tested on the motor side is greater than 12 steps). Please help with analysis and support, thank you!

The STEP input idle state must be logic low or 0V as described in the datasheet. See below.
The customer is using reverse polarity for the STEP input as per their scope capture below. This could affect how steps are counted. Could you please request the customer to change the polarity of the STEP input and see if they observe the same issue? Thanks.
