What MOSFETs are being used? The same ones in the reference design?

What voltage are you operating at?

Do you have any waveforms of GLx to SPx during this fault condition?

  Yes we are using same MOSFET as per ref design (MPN- ISC030N10NM6ATMA1)

we were operating at 7V and motor was at load around 0.5mNm from this load if driver is good it should provide 8 to 9A current . sorry we do not have any waveform of GLx to SPx as driver was operating at production line.

this we got failure on two driver . 

Exact reason of failure is unknow but if we see PCB track of all lower side resistor to diode as shown earlier are damage and continuity is lost.

Hi Sayali,

You said at some point the motor driver was working? Was anything changed between the time it was working and the time it wasn't? 

Is there a schematic and PCB layout you can share?

 no we have not changed anything.

for reference schematic is attached and Gerber ,please check any let us know what can be added to protect driver and action need to be taken.

Thank you for your patience. I discussed your issue with my team and it seems like the MOSFET you are using the Qgd is very small. What is your target rise and fall time? Have you tried using a larger gate resistor? so instead of 15 ohms for example using something like 100 ohms and seeing what the results are?

 Thank you for the information, ideally lower Qgd is always better right for quick response. we have not decided target rise and fall time as we are still in testing phase.I have not tried using larger gate resistor ,as you suggested we will try with higher gate resistor value .
