Would you please send me the drawing of "RRH 0036"?
There were just image and no drawing on the datasheet of DRV8849.
Also, I looked for it on your website, but could not find it.
Thank you and best regards,
Takuya Kitada
Hey Kitada-san,
We discovered this issue today as well, we are working to resolve it and get it put into the datasheet. It should be there in a few days.
Best,
Jacob
Hey Kitdadasan,
The package drawings have been added to the datasheet: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/drv8849.pdf#page=30
Thanks!
im not sure if this is correct way to inquire but,
I just realized that there might be two more mistakes on the datasheet.
(1) The name of 30th pin is contributing.
On the Figure6-1, it says "PGND".
On the Tabke 6-1, it says "GND".
I would like to know which one is right.
(2) When the drawing of RRH0036 added to the datasheet, Packaging information table disappear.
There are important info like [reflow temp] and [package qty], so I want it back.
Best regards,
Takuya Kitada
Hey Kitadasan, thank you so much for pointing these out. I will look into these and work on getting the datasheet updated ASAP.
Thanks!
Hey Kitadasan,
Is this the information you mean? It looks like the datasheet has been updated again to include this info:
https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/drv8849.pdf#page=33
But if that is not the info please let me know.
Best,
Jacob
That is exactly what I said on the second question!
Thank you for noticing me.
I just downloaded the latest version.
Also, I would appreciate if you could answer the first question about 30th pin's name.
Best regards,
Het Kitadasan,
I will confirm with design team on what it should be. However, I am 90% certain it should be PGND, since the DRV8845 which shares the same die/package has pin 30 listed as PGND.
Best,
Jacob
Hey Kitadasan,
I have confirmed with design, pin 30 should be PGND.
Best,
Jacob
Hi Jacob,
There are pins labeled with PGND1-PGND4.
Does pin 30th will be PGND0, PGND5 or just PGND?
Sorry for the question added, but hope it to be cleared.
Best regards,
Hey Kitadasan,
Apologies for our inconsistent naming with regard to GND/PGND. For pin 30 it should be connected to PGND1-4. The PGND# naming appears to only apply to our block diagram and description, and is a way to denote the pin as being PGND located between two outputs (ex. between OUT3A and OUT3B is PGND3, but should be connected with all the other grounds).
