BOOSTXL-DRV8323RH: DRV8323RH current sense is not accurate

Part Number: BOOSTXL-DRV8323RH
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8323

Hi Team,

The customer is using the DRV8323RH for current sensing,

Official TI development board is being used and only the sense resistor was replaced with a 20-mΩ resistor, which captured approximately 0.4 A. Theoretically the waveform should be sinusoidal, but the current currently captured is as follows:

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry

  • Hi Cherry,

If you've changed the sense resistor on the DRV8323 development board and are not getting a sine waveform, ensure that your modifications are correctly reflected in the control algorithm or software. Check the current sensing configuration and calibration parameters to match the new sense resistor value.

Let me know if these actions have already been taken.
