Hi Team,

When using the GUI of DRV10987EVM, the EVM is equipped with USB2ANY. But USB2ANY is out of stock on ti.com. Does the DRV10987 chip have to use USB2ANY when using the GUI? If the customer designs it himself, are there any other ways?

Hi Annie,

USB2ANY is USB to I2C converter. There are handlers in the U2B2ANY device to process the API commands like, I2C Read/write, I2C Raw Write / Raw Read etc.

Please download the API reference guide. GUI uses the API to communicate to USB2ANY and this in turn decodes and API and communicated with DRV down the chain.

Customer can implement their own way without the need of USB2ANY, they need to have Microcontroller in between GUI and DRV.

When they can procure the USB2ANY, it only required SCL, SDA and GND pin to be connected with USB2ANY and DRV.
