Hello,
After a RESET low to high input, how long does it take for the output to start up again?
Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,
After RESET the output will experience the typical propagation delay of 38 ns before the FETs are active.

Hi David,
Thanks for the info.
One follow up question:
This device is being used as as the output stage of digital amp.
When a high level music signal is played, this device shuts down because of over current detection.
The music signal level is changing all the time, so the short term peak current is very brief
When an event like this happens, we plan to reboot this device immediately and continue playing music because we want to keep the product working as continuously as possible. Is the 1 second wait time before reset required in this situation? What are the risks of not waiting?
Thanks,
Michael
Hi Michael,
The 1 second wait time is to ensure the driver has enough time to decay the current from the inductive load and any other parasitic inductances in the current path. If this wait period is ignored, it is possible that the device will quickly hit OCP again and again. This will lead to temperature increase and eventually thermal shutdown of the device.
Best,
David
