DRV10987: Motor startup issue in -40 degrees Celsius.

Hi,

We integrated the DRV10987 component into our PCB.
The DRV10987 works great, but we have a problem when testing the circuit and the motor in a climate chamber at a temperature of -40 degrees Celsius,
At this temperature the Driver fails to overcome small stuck in the motor(as a result of the low temperature).
What is the recommended solution to make the driver overcome these "mechanical problems"?

(Tested with a driver that works with sensors, there was no "mechanical problem" with the motor).

Hi Oren Shoef,

At lower temperatures viscous friction may be higher, did you try using higher Current Limit, reduce open loop acceleration, and closed loop acceleration?

Of course you are right, that's why i called it "mechanical problem".
I will check it if we tried all of those solutions together and i will update.
