I would like to ask about the maximum output value [W] regarding the specifications of the BOOSTXL-DRV8305.
When we made an inquiry in the past, we received a reply that "there is no specific power rating, and it is designed to achieve a current drive capability of 15A RMS (20A peak)."

It is said that up to 45 V can be applied as a specification of this board, but is it correct to understand that it can output up to 900 W (45 [V]× 20 [A]) as a three-phase output from the driver to the motor?

Hey Oishi-san,

The EVM has a voltage and current limit based on the components (connectors, capacitors and MOSFETs) chosen and trace widths which is specific as "• Supports 4.4- to 45-V voltage supply and up to 15-A RMS (20-A peak) drive current: in the User's Guide. So the 900W based on the 45V and 20A makes sense its just that you should not apply greater than 45V just because less than 20A is used.

I would like to check the maximum value [W] that this board can output.
We are thinking of using it within the specifications, and we do not intend to use it below 20A and above 45V.

Is it safe to assume that the board can output a current at 20A even when a voltage of 45V is applied?

I asked a question because I don't know the maximum output power [W] on the specifications.
For example, I would like to know if the output current drops when 45V is applied, and the output can only be less than 20A, so please answer the above question.

Yes, the current output depends on the load but a 20A load is the maximum current, this board and its components is rated to support. And a maximum of 45V can be supplied to the board.
